Excellent source of fishing for crappie, white bass, largemouth bass and channel catfish. 2 miles south of Waxahachie off FM 877. The lake covers 656 acres and has a maximum depth of 48ft. Local anglers find the crappie are easiest to locate along the face of the dam and the limestone bluffs on the east side of the lake.

Various time periods are represented through collections of items including silk and ivory fans, ivory pitchers and more. Housed in an 1889 structure, the museum is open daily.
