The little, fast growing, town of Midlothian is a great city for families. It’s tucked away in a rural area south of Dallas. The small town atmosphere and immense pride in its family-oriented community is what sets apart Midlothian from other suburban areas. The scenic beauty and location south between Dallas and Fort Worth make it one of the best places in North Texas to live and call home.
Midlothian was established in the early 1888. According to local legend, Midlothian received its name when the Chicago, Texas, and Mexican Central railroads connected and through Dallas and Cleburne. A homesick Scottish train engineer said the local countryside reminded him of his homeland in Scotland.
